Who we are
This website is operated by Adapt by Design Pty Ltd (ABN available on request), based in Perth, Western Australia. Bill Withers is the author and principal of the Succession Thinking framework. For privacy enquiries, contact us at connect@theadaptway.com.
What information we collect
We collect two types of information on this site.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use this website. GA4 collects anonymous data including pages visited, time on site, approximate location (country/region), device type, and traffic source. This data does not identify you personally. It is processed by Google under their privacy policy.
Enquiry data. If you submit a retreat registration or enquiry through the form on this site, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any information you provide in the form. This data is processed through Pipedrive, our CRM platform, and is used solely to respond to your enquiry and manage your registration.
How we use your information
- Analytics data is used to improve the content and usability of this website.
- Enquiry data is used to respond to your submission, confirm retreat availability, and follow up on your interest in the Design For Succession retreat or Bill's speaking and advisory services.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing beyond what you have indicated interest in by submitting an enquiry.
Cookies
Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. These cookies are set by Google and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of GA4 tracking by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
This site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any cookies beyond those set by Google Analytics.
Third-party services
This site uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Data retention
Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months by default. Enquiry data held in Pipedrive is retained for as long as necessary to manage your enquiry and any resulting engagement, or until you request its deletion.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it
